Create a 220 MPH High Speed Rail line from New York City to Buffalo, then to Boston, Toronto, Chicago and the Midwest.

Created by J.F. on May 10, 2013

New York is the natural place to build a High Speed Rail or Magnetic Levitation (MagLev) corridor, linking New York City, New England, the Midwest and Canada. Following the routes of the Erie Canal, the NY Central Railroad and the NYS Thruway, this project will immediately revitlize the so-called "Rust Belt" cities of the Northeast and along the Great Lakes, spur investment and innovation, open up new markets with Canada and rapidly move people and goods in the most populated regions of the US. It is the right region of the country to demonstrate that the United States is a 21st Century economy with 21st Century transportation technology. Current projects are moving to completion too slowly. The Japanese already have a 300 MPH MagLev line under way! We cannot afford to wait another decade!
