The Second Amendment is extremely outdated and causes much more harm to the people of the United States than it does protect them. When the original Bill of Rights was written, the United States was a nation with minimal national security and a nation experimenting with democracy. The Second Amendment was necessary for the protection of the American people. Not only is it no longer necessary for the amendment to be in place but with the advancement of weaponry technology, it presents great danger to Americans every day.
