Create a 6 hour workday/ 30 hour workweek with overtime pay for hours over these limits.

With unemployment and underemployment at historic highs we need to rethink our work force. We can provide jobs for everyone by reducing the work day to 6 hours a day/ 30 hours a week. Many people on unemployment, on welfare, on disability could be gainfully employed and PAYING their own way instead of needing to be supported by government. Companies that need/want to keep their 8 hour day can do so by paying overtime for the hours over 6. Sure our wages may go down but so should our taxes because more people will be paying and fewer will be receiving support. Let's have a discussion about it.
