A new act should be created to protect the children of the United States of America from gun violence. The act should contain gun control, policing, mental health assessments for gun ownership, and increased taxation of the ammunition industry.
Gun control should include a ban on assault rifles, weapons of war, and high capacity ammo clips. A crime reporting and prevention hotline should be set up per police department to report possessors of such weaponry.
Every school should have a dedicated police officer on site during school hours.
To be an owner of a weapon you should have to pass a frequent mental health exam.
Create heavy taxation (to support the act) of the ammunition industry including gun powder, casings, bullets, and tools used for home ammo production.
