Dear President Obama,
Currently there is no agency in place to oversee the welfare of performing exotic animals in circuses, zoos, and travelling animal fairs. It is unbearable to see the cruel and inhumane treatment of these innocent animals (behind the scenes). Certain items (used on elephants, for example) such as "Bull Hooks", electrical shock, and the chaining of up to 22 hours a day is/are not being addressed by any US government agency. Please create one that will address and follow-up on the welfare of animals such as elephants, tigers, and bears that have no choice but to "perform" for shows.
