Create an alternate simple solution to curb gun violence in the United States.

I petition for a new simple technology that will track registered guns and guns purchased in the future. These tracking devices would interact with beacons setup in public places like schools, malls, theaters and places of worship; places where you do NOT need a gun for protection. If one of these guns enters the Gun Free zone an alert will be sent to officials in that area for a preemptive response. If one of the devices is tampered with again an alert is sent to officials for investigation.
We have been using simple tracking devices on endangered animals for years and they are usually conducted by nonprofit agencies, so for those people who think this would be an unrealistic goal, I believe they are mistaken.
