We the People implore the President to cause to be written into the Constitution, an Amendment to prevent the purchase of political power by any body, singular or plural, individual, corporation, religion, labor union, or philosophy, such that it upsets the scales of justice and results in the suspension of democracy.
We implore the President to prevent by Constitutional Amendment actions taken by a handful of proxies, elected to Congress by the people of their districts in the mistaken belief that those proxies acted for the good of all, but whose actions served none but the purposes of their wealthy benefactors.
This cannot be allowed to happen again.
To that end, we ask that political contributions to any cause, PAC, or to any other body be limited to $100 per election cycle.
