create an amendment to the Constitution, limiting all elected officials to two terms, not to exceed 8 years total.

Created by B.F. on August 17, 2015

I am proposing an amendment to the Constitution which would impose term limits on all elected officials. They would be allowed to be elected to two terms not to exceed a total of eight years. It’s time to stop career politicians from being owned by lobbyists and special interest groups. Once out of office, they need to look for a job, just like anyone else who is out of work. No more special retirement plans or health plans for them. They buy their insurance just like everyone else has to do – including Obama-care...what’s good for the rest of America should be good enough for them. Once out of office, no more secret service privileges. Since they’re now a private citizen and not a public figure, expending that kind of money on their behalf is senseless.
