Many stable countries have a foreign legion, where citizens can join to fight threats abroad. The most famous being the French and Spanish Foreign Legions. The American Foreign Legion will function similarly to give citizens the opportunity to fight in combat, non combat roles domestically and internationally to rebuild our country and its reputation.
The creation of the American Foreign Legion would train citizens of the American republic to combat threats against the nation internationally and domestically; help fight threats like ISIL/ISIS in places like Syria/Iraq, help with border security and other related issues in the homeland where standard combat troops either have not been issued or will not be issued but citizens want to fight, and retain the fullness of its American interests
