RESOLVED; we call on the Obama Administration to create an independent commission to study the human and economic impact of slavery in the United States and provide a framework for recompense which should include, official apologizes from institutions that are the beneficiaries of slave labor in perpetuity, a federal day of remembrance, an equitable and beneficial form of financial compensation.
