create and enact nationwide rules for voting when candidates for federal offices are on states' ballots.

Created by R.S. on November 13, 2012

The purpose of this petition is to create an enforceable uniform law governing how states conduct voting during those elections when candidates are running for federal offices such as President/Vice President, Senate and House of Representatives. The intent is to eliminate differing and confusing standards which vary from state-to-state and even from precinct-to-precinct within individual states that affect situations like early voting periods, election day poll hours, absentee voting, types of acceptable voting equipment, back-up voting standards, and voter ID requirements. This federal law also is intended to remove state and local political influences from federal races' voting guidelines.
