Create and implement nationwide school security measures

The root of the problem is neither gun control or armed guards. Gun control only affects responsible gun owners and armed guards in schools only offend those who do not wish to have firearms in their lives. School security is the issue at hand. I propose we address the problem and create nationwide security standards to protect our children and teachers. No admission into schools without visual inspection, suspicious activity reporting and unarmed patrols that can report anything that could cause potentially dangerous situation should be our first defense. Let us honor the 27 lives lost by not making them a pro gun versus anti gun debate, but a change that will make a difference and provide safety to our schools.
