Creating a National ID for US Citizens. The ID card would be REQUIRED to attain all of the benefits and privileges of US citizenship, to include work, Welfare, electricity, water, telephone, cable, drivers license, Concealed weapons license, and medical. In order to receive a card the applying person pays a $100 fee for a card good for 4 years (just like a fishing license). The person will have to have a natural birth certificate or proof of citizenship, Social Security number and pass a background check. Persons with school or work visas will not be eligible until they file for citizenship and pass all requirements.
This will assure that illegal immigrants are pressured to either register and pay their fare share of taxes or be deported until they can legally become a citizen.
