Promote healthy living and dietary plans to beneficiaries of state and federal food stamp programs to help battle childhood and adult obesity.
With obesity on the rise it is becoming clear that a disconnect exist, creating a widening gap between what we consume and what is healthy. Too many food options and confusing labels can leave many of us scratching our heads in the middle of the grocery aisle wondering what would be best for our families. Too often we go with what is the easiest, and usually most unhealthy.
With low income families being the hardest hit by this obesity epidemic I'm suggesting that we make guidelines for what can be purchased with dietary aide like food stamps. Through apportioning the aide to align with the already established nutritional recommendations.
