To Create and Maintain High Speed Rail throughout the United States

This Petition is to finally create High Speed Rail systems throughout the United States of America. For too long has America been behind Europe and Asia in the Rail System. This system would finally make our country more connected and create the jobs and industry needed. This also would cut back on pollution and traffic killing our roads and highways. The United States has millions of miles of rail already available and now is the time to take advantage of that. Just as in 1869, where the transcontinental railroad brought this country together just after the Civil War, this system will bring us together again.
