As a Commercial Driver, I, Chad Johnson ask you to create a law that protects the people that are responsible for delivering our Nations goods. Please have the federal motor carrier enforcement over seeing Commercial Truck drivers address the issue of home time. We would like 2 days off at home after 5 days. We no longer wish to be away from home for 10 days and get 34 hours off. What we want is 2 days off for every 5 days worked. The big carriers that abuse us to the point of quitting. I have a solution. Per new regulation created by you. F.M.C.S.R number yet to be determine: Any over the road driver who works under the hours of service regulation not relieved of duty at home for 2 full consecutive days off per Calendar week shall be paid 200 a day or 2 days vacation per Calendar week.
