Create and Protect the right to refuse to interact with a law officer not equipped with a camera visibly on his persons

Created by K.K. on May 23, 2014

Far too often Law enforcement officers are prone to power trips and the over-use of force is becoming a plague.

However as a law enforcement officer, the job carries dangers that warrant having a holstered firearm at arms reach.

I propose that a 720p (or higher resolution) camera be MANDATED federally as an article REQUIRED to be worn by law enforcement officers in the field.

In doing so, this would protect the rights of law abiding citizens and police officers, additionally ensuring that fault and guilt alike fall on the correct shoulders where physical and verbal altercations arise.

Creating and protecting the right to not interact with an officer NOT in full uniform during routine traffic stops, would protect the safety and rights of the public and officers alike.
