We the people desire to create an Animal Rescue Volunteer Day to recognize the tireless efforts of the thousands upon thousands of citizen volunteers who devote their lives and commit their resources to the never ending rescue battle. These average Americans work quietly and thanklessly to care for and find for those animals who,through no fault of their own, find themselves sick, scared, alone, perhaps abused, often neglected and at risk.
