Building a water aquaduct across the nation through the middle of the US fro east to west will save lives and property and employ millions. This aquaduct can pump water that is causing flooding from east to west and have states share in the cost of building this canal. An average of $6B annually has been spent on damage caused by flooding. If we take this money and build a canal thus moving the water from an overflooded zone to areas in the west where water could be used to grow crops and employ many people including those working on building the canal in each state where the canal would be built. This way we could move the water where overflooding would happen to out of the area where it could be used thus minimizing the damage caused by flooding. Many jobs could be created!!
