create an avenue for qualified foreign medical doctors to be licensed in the United States.

Created by R.P. on January 20, 2013

There is currently a shortage of medical doctors in the US and it is only projected to get worse rather than better. Patients are generally left waiting months to see their doctor and when appointment day does come the waiting room is packed and the patients wait hours to see the doctor for minutes. The shortage forces physicians to see too many patients in too little time. The systemic problem is largely due to the bottleneck that is the US medical education system. Qualified doctors from foreign countries cannot practice in the US without being trained again. A simple, fair, and effective way to address this problem is to create an avenue for qualified foreign doctors to be licensed in the US.
