Create a balanced and informed commission to advise on effective legislation on the topic of gun control.

As it is evident that some change must happen in order to prevent tragedies from being as frequent as we have seen in the past few years, a commission should be formed to advise on such legislation. This commission needs to be formed of informed individuals on firearms. I believe a commission that includes NRA members, Law enforcement officers from around the country and people who have studied mass shootings is key to making sure laws created to prevent tragedies are effective in their purpose and do not infringe upon freedoms more than necessary, as well as to promote a neutral platform on which both republicans and democrats can begin their talks on the issue.
