Create a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution and promote the amendment in Congress and in the states.

Our government is trillions of dollars in debt, and that debt is growing every day. The interest on that debt is a drain on the US economy. The debt itself is a future burden on our children and grandchildren.

Many of the states are constitutionally required to have balanced budgets.
