We feel that the teams that were defeated in their respective League Championship series deserve an opportunity to earn recognition for their own excellence on the field in spite of losing in the final round before the World Series. This "Baseball Bronze" award winning game would be played during the break between the end of the League Championships and the beginning of the World Series. This would continue the excitement of the post-season games through to the beginning of the World Series, guaranteeing further television viewing and ad revenue, and would continue to generate revenue for the local economies of the eliminated teams. This game would be played in a neutral location (much like the Superbowl) in order to facilitate advance tickets sales and logistical arrangements.
