I am in favor of firearms control. I propose we regulate ammunition by requiring proof of gun ownership and registration prior to purchasing ammunition specific to individual firearms. If a firearm is not registered, it would be registered one time only at the first sale of ammunition following the implementation of this regulation. The gun owner will be required to have taken a firearms safety course. A new background check would be performed at this time and at subsequent ammunition purchases at regular intervals. There will be a mandatory 10 day waiting period for receiving ammunition. The quantity of ammunition will be limited per purchase. Locks shall be required for all guns. All private sales will be documented and registered. Magazines greater than 10 rounds will be banned.
