create better laws protecting young students reproductive rights living with high risk HPV. Especially nursing school!

Created by K.H. on May 18, 2013

I was accused of being a pathological liar by my first clinical instructor in Nursing School at UMKC. Christine Zimmerman. She believed that young people do not get cervical cancer! Well, I did at age 23! We need to do something about it! CIN III, Stage 0 cervical cancer is on the rise in early 20's. That age group is typically in college and some teachers have very strict attendance policies. I firmly believe student's should be allowed equal access to GYN care without being ostracized by teachers or accused of lying! Nursing school is hard and you can't always miss a day without a really good reason. If you are not believed, you do not get your legal reasonable accommodations to preserve fertility. It may be too late for me, but its not too late for other girls!
