As it stands, there is a major issue with immigration, which needs a comprehensive solution. I propose a total revamp of current immigration laws. We need to create a system which is straightforward and easy to understand so that immigrants are able to stay in to the US legally. People attempting to immigrate to the US including those already here should be issued immigration visas which are good for as long as they are in the immigration process.
The end goal is to make it unreasonable for anybody to stay in the United States illegally for any amount of time. We do not need to be making exceptions and laws to support illegal immigrants, we need to be making it possible for them to easily become citizens afforded the same rights and responsibilities as the rest of us.
