Create a bill and modify laws to repeal the age of candidacy requirements to 18 years of age for all offices and jobs.

Created by T.S. on October 02, 2011

This is a request for recognition and action to change the current age of candidacy for United States federal jobs and political offices to 18 years of age.

The current age requirements are archaic and socially equivalent to age prejudice. A 30 year old citizen in the United States should be able to run for president.

A 20 year old should be able to run for a senate or congressional position.

Repeal these laws, enact bills to make it equal for all above 18 years old, the age of majority in the United States, to run for office or gain jobs.

Also encourage state law changes as well and make it illegal for any business, whether small business or corporation to discriminate candidates based upon age as is now done for sex, sexual orientation and religion.
