Create a bill in Latandra Ellington name to require all state and federal corrections officers to wear a body camera.

Created by V.W. on January 25, 2015

We the people, petition for the Obama administration to create a bill, sign into law, and set aside funds to require all state and federal corrections officers to wear a body camera to better document their encounters with prisoners. There is no excuse for a prison guard or anyone to abuse and torture a handcuffed and shackled prisoner of any age, and of any color. The Latandra Ellington Law shall make it mandatory for every corrections officer to always wear a body camera. As well, as record their encounters every time an officer has contact with a prisoner that can be viewed within a prison investigation, and by any law enforcement. Ellington death is among nearly 200 ongoing state prison death investigations that have been turned over to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
