Create a branch of the Department of Homeland Security that is responsible for protection of our schools and children.

Create a branch of DoHS responsible for defense and protection of our schools. Staff it by re-hiring veterans (after thorough physical and mental testing to identify and treat any depression or other issues) and use them to provide on-site security services in all of our public and private schools whenever students are present. These veterans would have their full time military status re-instated without loss of time and grade from previous service but they are exclusive to school protection except in the event of all out war. Fees could be established for the purpose of funding other administrative costs and would come from gun sales and gun show costs as well as ammunition. There would be no need to enact legislation that affects the Constitution. ALL Americans can support this platform.
