Clothing sizes in the United States currently do very little in helping consumers actually find their correct size. Instead, different brands assert their own size distinctions making one brand's size 10 another's size 7 or one's size 17 another's size 10. This is particularly true in the Women's Clothing departments and wreaks havoc on many people's body image and self confidence. Year to year, the acceptable size of women alters, while the numbers stay the same -- convincing shoppers that they are to blame for no longer fitting into the clothing offered at their favorite stores.
We the People petition the US Government to create a distinguishable standard based on actual measurements similar to how Men's and EU brands label their clothing,
