We the people wish to have the Government set up a program where individuals would be able to use the benefits of pretax dollars, and employee matching to pay off their student loans. This system would be similar to a (401)k but with the intention of debt relief instead of long term saving and investing.
The student loan bubble is an epidemic and becoming the biggest hindrance on the long term growth of our economy.
With a program set up like this individuals would be able to pay off their loans more quickly, and make purchases to spur the economy. It would also give employees an opportunity to potentially have their employer contribute into the plan as well to relieve some of the burden.
