Create a committee or initiative focused on educational technology for children with Autism and other special needs.

Created by A.S. on March 23, 2016

1 of 68 children in the United States are diagnosed with Autism. These children are growing up in a world that is increasingly digital. They will be expected to understand how to use technology to learn, also to work, fill out job applications, apartment applications and even order food. It will be integrated in their everyday life as adults, yet they aren't allotted the resources or time during early education to practice using technology. As the father of a child with Autism I believe it would be beneficial to explore a committee with initiatives focused on solutions to this problem. Rather than wait until millions of children and future adults are left behind we should get ahead of the "DIGITAL DIVIDE BETWEEN THOSE WITH AUTISM AND THEIR PEERS"
