It is highly unlikely, for political and practical reasons, to deport 11M people residing illegally in the US. While the US is a compassionate nation we are also a nation of laws and those laws must be followed and enforced. I suggest the following, 1) within 90 days all illegal immigrants register for a 2 year temporary visa; 2) illegal immigrants with criminal records (felony or 2 or more misdemeanors) be ineligible for consideration (excludes minor traffic offenses); 3) within this 2 year period they must apply for and be placed in line behind those that have applied following US law and regs; and 4) those not accepted for permanent residence status during that time be deported to their country of citizenship. Anyone entering the US after the 90 day period be immediately deported
