Create the Congressional Reform Act of 2012.

Created by R.C. on October 02, 2011

Members of Congress have made contracts for themselves regarding: 1) Term Limits (none); 2) Pension Plans; 3) Salary Increases; and 4) Health Care Benefits.

The American people did not make these contracts with members of Congress. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work

1. Establish term limits: 12 years using one of these options: A. Two Six-year Senate terms; B. Six Two-year House terms; C. One Six-year Senate term and three Two-Year House terms
2. Members of Congress shall collect a salary while in office, and no salary when out of office; eliminate voting for salary increases; limit salary increases to the lower of CPI or 3%.
