Create a consitutional amendment allowing the citizens to vote on certain issues instead of Congress

Because many of our Congressional representatives are influenced by large corporations and money, it is time for a constitutional amendment that allows the citizens to vote on the legislation instead of Congress . Like in many states, the voters are allowed to gather petitions and actually vote on laws. In cases where it is clear that our US representatives are more concerned with big business and special interest groups and lobbiests, we the people must be able to vote on our own common sense laws. The President would then sign or veto the law as a check and balance
