The passage and ensuing upholding Supreme Court ruling of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act's individual mandate has demonstrated an extreme flaw in this country's constitution.
The decision of what an individual must purchase with their earnings should always be a liberty and right of the individual doing the purchase, and never mandated by the government. The constitution does not (nor is it intended to) promise that everyone in this nation shall have certain privileges at the expense of another's individual liberties.
This is a petition for Congress, and President Obama to protect the Citizens of the United States liberty and freedom by creating a Constitutional Amendment securing the freedom to make purchasing decision for the individual people of this nation.
