In the year 2011, the median income was 42,979.61 according to http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/cola/AWI.html

However, when looking at the median income for federal beaurocrats and elected officials was on average over $100,000.00 - more than twice that of the average American worker.

I hereby propose that a new constitutional that all federal employees and elected officials should not be paid any more than the median income.

This will help cut Washington spending force congress to wake up to the real issues average Americans like myself are facing.
