In the process of setting electoral districts, gerrymandering is a practice that attempts to establish a political advantage for a particular party or group by manipulating geographic boundaries in a state to create partisan advantaged districts. Gerrymandering may be used to help or hinder a particular political, racial, or class group from having their vote count.
Some countries authorize non-partisan organizations to set constituency boundaries in an attempt to prevent gerrymandering and make the boundaries fair. America needs to do this.
