Create a constitutional amendment protecting the National Park Service and our national parks.

Created by M.L. on November 03, 2011

The United States Constitution should be amended so that the Federal Government is given the authority, through the proper channels and by means of the National Park Service, to purchase, at market value, and protect certain lands that are deemed valuable by the citizens of the United States of America. This amendment would protect the National Park Services from severe budget cuts and politicians who would seek its abolition. This amendment would give power to save purchased or donated land for the enjoyment and recreation of not only Citizens of the United States, but of the world and not to serve special interests, corporations, individuals, or organizations that would seek to exploit natural resources contained within the boundaries of the lands controlled by the National Park Service.
