Create a constitutional mechanism for allowing the American people to remove an entire Congress from office.

The purpose of this petition is to promote a constitutional mechanism allowing the American people to remove from office an entire Congress. Congressmen and women must serve the country as a whole, and those who hold the Nation hostage through inaction and party politics must not feel secure in their districts. During every two-year election, in addition to voting for one’s own Congressional representative, voters should vote separately on whether to wipe clean the House of Representatives. If an excess of 2/3rds of the voting public nationwide deem Congress unfit, all Congressmen and women will be removed from office and ineligible to run or hold that office for two years. While interim elections are scheduled, the incumbent party in each district may select a placeholder.
