Create a Contract of Civility and Compromise with Congress

Created by J.F. on November 16, 2011

At the beginning of the New Year, Congress and the President will vow to be civil to each member signing the contract out of respect for our diversity, and when a natural compromise cannot be made, vow to make automatic 50-50 compromises. They shall agree to disagree with each other and their resultant compromises, but shall not fail to create a fair compromise. A deadline shall be set upon each bill brought into consideration, by which time, if no compromise is reached, each side shall agree to a 50-50 compromise. Those not signing or keeping the contract need not be promised the protections of it.
We- the American people- value our diversity of ideas that has created our Congress. Gridlock pretends we seek one way to be victorious, instead of us all contributing to our mutual success.
