Because of the unrelenting partisanship, narrow-mindedness and infighting plaguing the federal government in Washington, D.C., a court jester should be appointed to advise the president.
The jester's responsibilities should include:
--Report immediately to the President when his advisers are too cowardly to offer opposing advice.
--Intercede whenever the President and Congress attempt to communicate.
--Assume the duties of Speaker of the House and Majority Leader of the Senate whenever discussions on extending the debt limit arises.
Jesters must be taken from the ranks of disgraced members of Congress who have either resigned from scandal, been convicted of corruption or suffered defeat because of a ridiculous statement about rape, gays, guns, religion or any other social issue.
