Political representatives have come out in the last few days calling for banning certain semiautomatic firearms that have characteristics that make them inherently more dangerous than other devices of the same caliber, model or operation. I think that in order to have an honest conversation about firearms, we must first hold the State accountable and demand that the government make known, the exact amount of weapons it controls, the amount of ammunition It has in Its possession, the make and models of said weapons and calibers of said ammunition. If weapons of a certain type are to be banned, they should be banned for all citizens, not just private citizens.When such information is provided and independently verified, I hope it will help to expose the hypocrisies of gun control.
