The Petition is for President Obama to declare a "Day of Humilation" or a "Day of Reflection." President Lincoln declared three such days in his presidency. It is done when a president asks the entire nation to stop and take a one minute moment of silence to reflect, and or pray, to help heal our nation.
We have had great unrest in the area of working to respect police and social unrest. We have had two senseless killings of policemen. We have had many issues of where there is unrest in how grand juries have ruled in the deaths of people of color being checked by government paid law enforcement.
We have had the wonderful idea of cameras to be worn by police to ensure clear understanding of law enforcement actions in our nation.
