Since before the founding of the 13 Colonies and the creation of the Republic of the United States of America, distillers and brewers had a direct hand in the shaping of our common history. Major turning points throughout our history have been steered by those who created or were filled with American spirit. Great innovations socially and economically grew from these industries. We ask the Obama Administration to recognize the pioneering spirit of the Craft distillers and brewers of our past, present, and future by setting aside a day in which to raise a glass and toast in honor of their work.
