Create a Debt Forgiveness Program

Create a Debt Forgiveness Program allowing participants to receive a one time debt elimination. Participants will be required to bring in documentation of their debts to be forgiven. The debt forgiveness consultant will then verify the debt and the status of the debt. Under federal authority the consultant will then arrange for the final payment which will be sent from the agency to the debtors. Any revolving credit (i.e. credit cards) will then be canceled and the card holder will be required to destroy the cards in view of the consultant. The participants will then forgo and tax refunds for a period of three years. The participants will have the debt forgiveness noted on the credit reports for the next seven years. This will not only help families but also create jobs.
