Create defenses in our schools that would, practically, defend our teachers and students.

In the wake of mass shooting the people are crying out for change. Fueled by vengeance and grief most suggestions are misguided. I propose we act practically and immediately with building defenses that require limited training and no, "fight back," mentality. Firstly we should build safe rooms for every classroom that are bullet proof and lock/open from the inside. We could build them to accommodate 2 classrooms of children and teachers. Simple in design with ventilation and enough room for everyone to sit. These shelters could double as tornado, hurricane, etc. Additionally we need to require of schools to have metal detectors and man traps with lock down drop doors. These solutions require little training and we can start construction very soon. Time is not money but lives!
