It is necessary to create a sustainable culture of Peace from a new paradigm, one that is not in resistance to war. When one creates from resistance, what is resisted is empowered and made stronger. This Dept. would be charged with creating and manifesting activities, programs and cultures of Peace that begin with individuals and radiate out into the familiy, neighborhood, region and world, working with the Department of State's initiatives for the peace-building within the US Govt and between nations. These inititaives would be designed to create a base of being from which to come from, a wholistic approach which recognizes the interconnectedness and interrelatedness of all on the planet. It is about BEING, rather than building Peace: A Paradigm Who's Time Has Come.
