Create a detailed plan to close the Guantanamo Bay Detention Facility, and support its passage through Congress.

Carl Levin has introduced legislation in the House of Representatives to allow the transfer of prisoners within the Guantanamo Bay Detention Center, where they will be fairly and legally tried as prisoners of war. The bill has support from both parties in the House and Senate. If the President supports the bill, and creates a plan to close the facility, we will be able to see an end to a massive humans rights violation that is not only unethical, but an impediment to our relations with other countries and the Nation's ability to support the end of other human rights abuses. The Guantanamo Bay Detention Center should be closed now, and it all starts with the President.
