Create a dialog endorsing a Constitutional Amendment requiring term limits for the Senate and House of Representatives. No one may hold a political position in the Senate or House, or both combined for more than 10 years. After their terms in office ends, so do the benefits. We want to create a dialog on the issue of career politicians who have lost touch with their constituents. We feel elected officials represent their parties, rather than the people. They think more of reelection than what is good for the people, and we feel that is counterproductive to good leadership. We feel they care more about their jobs than making the right choices. We feel if the pressure of re-election is removed, our government will improve.
